Data Retention and Account Deletion

We value your privacy and are committed to ensuring you have control over your personal information. Below is our process for data deletion and account retention:

Requesting Data Deletion

If you would like us to delete or de-identify any information we hold about you—including your account and data—please follow these steps:

  • Submit a Request:
    Email us at support@mydataboss.com with the subject line “Account Deletion.”

  • Include Required Details:
    Provide your My DataBoss ID and clearly specify which data you would like us to delete or de-identify.

  • Processing Time:
    Please allow up to 30 days for us to process your request. We will notify you of the deletion status once the review is complete.

  • Possible Denial:
    In some cases, we may need to retain certain data for legal, regulatory, compliance, or audit purposes (e.g., financial transactions or contractual obligations with businesses you interacted with on our platform). If we are unable to delete your data, we will send you a written explanation detailing our reasons.

Note: Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

For your convenience, you can delete your account directly within the My Databoss app.

Soft Deletion & Access Restriction

If we are legally required to retain your data, we will implement a “soft deletion” process by:

  • Disabling Access:
    Permanently disabling your login and account access.

  • Restricting Usage:
    Locking your personal information from further use.

  • Anonymising Non-Essential Data:
    Erasing or anonymising any data that is not essential to legal or regulatory requirements.

Retention Periods

For any information that must be kept for legal reasons, we commit to retaining it only for the minimum period required by law. Once this period expires, the data will be permanently deleted.

Third-Party Data Sharing

If your data has been shared with businesses using our platform, please note that:

  • These businesses may have their own data retention and deletion policies.

  • We do not control third-party data practices.

  • You may need to contact the respective third-party directly to request the deletion of your information.
